Green Key certification is based on compliance with strict, internationally recognized criteria in the areas of environmental management (water, energy, waste, cleaning, etc.) and sustainability education (employees, guests, suppliers, etc.).<\/p>\n

Compliance with the criteria is confirmed by a strict application process and verified by third parties following regular on-site audits. The certification is valid for one year. <\/p>\n

More than 4,000 companies in 60 countries are already certified with the Green Key.<\/p>\n

Green Key is supported by various institutional partners, international hotel chains and tour operators and works with a number of web partners.<\/p>\n

The Green Key program is administered by the international charity Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and its national affiliates.<\/p>\n
